Tennis at the Castine Golf Club
Castine's four Har-Tru courts, top-flight pro, relaxing atmosphere, and perfect climate make it a great place to play or practice your game!
Our mission is to provide a friendly and inviting environment where people of all ages can learn to play tennis, brush up on their skills, or enjoy a game with friends or family. The Castine Tennis Club is a private club that is open to the public. We maintain four regulation-size Har-tru clay tennis courts and offer clinics and lessons with Rodney Ross, our PTA tennis professional. The courts are located near the main clubhouse at the top of Main Street. The program strives to offer a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. Courts are available from mid-June to early October, as weather allows. There is no required dress code, although proper tennis attire and appropriate footwear is expected. Court reservations can be made by calling the tennis shop or filling out the sign-up sheet located outside the shop near Court No. 2. In the event the courts are unavailable due to weather, there will be a recorded announcement on the tennis shop phone.
Non-members are invited to enjoy the club facilities, clinics, and lessons. Social play, without membership, is limited to eight times during the season. Clinics are available for all ages and skill levels. Small group instruction can be arranged, as well as semi-private lessons.
Please direct any questions and make all reservations during the season by calling the tennis shop at (207) 326-9548.
